1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of JuLi, including the JuLi app, website, and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating a JuLi account, you agree to these Terms on your own behalf and on behalf of any child profile you create.

2. Who can use JuLi

• You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or lawful guardian of any child you set up a profile for.
• Children do not create their own accounts. A child may only access JuLi through a profile their parent creates, using a PIN or link provided by that parent. In case you come across an incident where a child under 18 created an account, please let us know immediately and we will delete the account based on your consent.
• JuLi is designed for children aged approximately 8 to 12. A parent is responsible for deciding whether JuLi is appropriate for their own child. You confirm the functionalities and features are relevant for your child, and only then subscribe to the service.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account, including your child's use of JuLi. Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

4. What JuLi is — and isn't

JuLi is a curiosity companion that answers a child's questions in an age-appropriate way, within a fixed set of safety rules, and keeps a parent informed about what their child has been curious about — including notifying a parent when a sensitive topic comes up. The Service is currently in beta, and functionality may not work as expected during this stage. Please share feedback if you come across any issues.

• JuLi is not a substitute for parental supervision, judgment, or involvement in your child's life.
• JuLi is not a medical, psychological, legal, or emergency service. If your child is in crisis or in danger, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services immediately — do not rely on JuLi.
• JuLi's responses, including guidance offered to parents, are generated with the help of artificial intelligence and, like any AI system, may occasionally be incomplete, imperfect, or inaccurate. Use your own judgment, especially on sensitive or important topics.
• Some subject areas are permanently outside the scope of what JuLi will discuss with a child, regardless of how a question is asked, because unsupervised AI is not an appropriate way to address them.

5. Free tier and usage limits

During the current beta period, JuLi is offered free of charge, with no card required. A parent account includes a limited lifetime allowance of questions [confirm current allowance, e.g. 200 messages]. We may introduce paid plans or change usage limits in the future, and will provide notice before doing so.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to bypass, disable, or interfere with JuLi's safety rules or content restrictions
• Use JuLi to submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or intended to harm JuLi, another user, or a third party
• Attempt to access another family's account or child profile
• Use JuLi in any way that could expose a child to content or interactions outside JuLi's intended, supervised design
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or misuse the Service beyond normal personal use

7. Your content

Questions submitted through your account, and any topics you bring to JuLi as a parent, remain associated with your account as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain rights to content you submit; you grant JuLi the limited right to process it in order to provide the Service.

8. Intellectual property

JuLi's software, design, character, branding, and underlying rule set are owned by JuLi and its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you rights to JuLi's intellectual property beyond your personal, non-commercial use of the Service.

9. Third-party services

JuLi relies on third-party providers to operate parts of the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of JuLi is also subject to the acceptable-use terms of those providers where applicable.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, JuLi disclaims warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any response generated through the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, JuLi's total liability arising out of or relating to your use of the Service — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — is limited to the total amount you paid to JuLi for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using JuLi and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, misuses the Service, or poses a safety risk to a child.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes before they take effect. Continued use of JuLi after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
